Service Description

Coastal Foraging and Howth Fishermen’s folklore. This promises to be a fun filled and learning experience. Nicole will lead you on a guided walk of the beach and Howth harbour. You will learn all about edible coastal plants, what culinary and medicinal benefits they hold. We will teach you how to identity our native and non-native coastal plants. Learning secrets of old, by delving into what fishermen and sailors, used to cure scurvy and nourish their bodies through the hard winters. Sharing the tales of how fishermen read the skies and weather patterns long before weather forecasts! Meet the local seals and wildlife that live by the port. An afternoon not to be missed, you can purchase fresh fish and seafood on the pier and bring your foraged finds home to cook a tasty meal! Please wrap up for the day, warm clothes waterproof footwear. Bring a bottle of water and small backpack, scissors if you wish.

Full Refund, If cancelled more than one week in advance of the tour Date. 50% refund; up to 72 hours in adavnce of tour time. 25% refund up to 48 hours before in advance of tour time. No refund: within 48 hours of our tour starting.
